v1.3 — honest disclosure

Verification methodology

KeyBS Trust Intelligence supports supplier verification across 195 countries, with country-specific verification depth, registry availability, document intelligence, analyst review, and local-agent verification where required. We disclose the exact method and auto-approval rule for every country.

The five tiers

Tier 1

Tier 1 — Direct API

27 jurisdictions

Direct API + instant registry

Mature digital company registry with real-time API or authoritative bulk feed. Beneficial-ownership data accessible. Court and sanctions data integrated. Verification typically completes in minutes.

Auto-approval policy: Allowed at high confidence.

Tier 2

Tier 2 — Structured registry

81 jurisdictions

Structured web + registry scrape

Public registry exists with structured search but no commercial API. Verification combines automated scraping of official sources, PDF extraction, and document intelligence. Most filings are timely.

Auto-approval policy: Allowed at very high confidence only.

Tier 3

Tier 3 — Hybrid analyst-assisted

64 jurisdictions

Hybrid analyst-assisted

Registry data is partial, paywalled, or fragmented across agencies. Verification mixes machine extraction with analyst review of corporate documents, tax IDs, and beneficial-ownership declarations.

Auto-approval policy: Not permitted. Analyst sign-off required.

Tier 4

Tier 4 — Analyst + documents

26 jurisdictions

Analyst + document intelligence

No reliable public registry, or registry data is stale, missing, or inconsistent. Verification depends on supplier-provided documents, court records where available, and KYC analyst review.

Auto-approval policy: Never auto-approved.

Tier 5

Tier 5 — Local-agent verification

19 jurisdictions

Local-agent on-the-ground

Sanctions, conflict, or absence of any functional registry infrastructure. Verification requires a vetted local agent to physically confirm premises, signatory identity, and operating status.

Auto-approval policy: Never auto-approved. Full sanctions + adverse-media check mandatory.

Auto-approval rules

Confidence is computed per request from registry signal strength, document quality, and corroborating sources. These thresholds are hard-coded in the orchestrator.

  • Tier 1

    Auto-approval permitted when registry confidence ≥ 0.90.

  • Tier 2

Auto-approval permitted only at very high confidence (≥ 0.97).

  • Tier 3

    Never auto-approved. Analyst review mandatory.

  • Tier 4

Never auto-approved. Analyst + document intelligence required.

  • Tier 5

    Never auto-approved. Local-agent on-the-ground verification mandatory.

Honest disclosure

Every country page surfaces its tier, what method is used, and whether auto-approval is permitted. Every verification request returns the tier, confidence score, and decision notes. We do not promise real-time results in countries where registry infrastructure does not exist.
