Questions buyers ask before ordering

Straight answers on turnaround, scope, refusals, and how KeyBS differs from a credit report.

How long does a verification take?
Tier 1 typically completes in minutes via registry lookup. Tier 2 lands within 24 hours after analyst review. Tier 3–4 take 2–5 business days depending on document availability. Tier 5 (local-agent on-the-ground) takes 5–10 business days and depends on country, city, and agent schedule.
What does KeyBS actually check?
Legal identity (registry match, status, address), ownership and control (directors, ≥25% shareholders, UBOs), sanctions and PEP screening, adverse media, and — where the tier requires it — document intelligence and a physical on-site visit confirming premises, headcount, and production capability.
Is this a credit report?
No. KeyBS is identity, ownership, and operational verification — does this supplier actually exist, who controls it, and can it do what it claims. We do not score creditworthiness or trade-payment history. If you need credit, we can route to a partner.
What happens if a supplier refuses to cooperate?
We document the refusal, state which checks could not be completed, and return a 'Cannot verify — supplier non-cooperative' decision with a reduced confidence score. You still get the registry-level evidence we were able to gather, and the report says clearly what's missing.
Where does your data come from?
Primary sources: government business registries, tax portals, court filings, sanctions lists (OFAC, UN, EU, UK HMT), and direct documents from the supplier. Secondary: OpenCorporates, adverse-media aggregators. Tier 5 adds a vetted local agent who visits the address in person.
Can I get a sample report?
Yes — see the sample report page. It walks through identity, ownership, operations, analyst sign-off, and what's explicitly out of scope.
How is pricing structured?
Per-verification, priced by country and tier. Higher-tier countries cost more because they require analyst hours and, in some cases, local-agent dispatch. Volume customers can request a contract with monthly allotments on the contact page.
What if the country isn't on your coverage list?
All 195 sovereign countries are covered. Coverage varies in depth: some countries support full Tier 1 auto-approval; others require analyst or agent work. The coverage page shows the depth available per country before you order.
